Visionary & Founder
Richelle’s primary role here at Joy Centers is spiritual and emotional healing. Richelle has been in training and development in emotional healing and spiritual leadership for over 25 years and is now a licensed, ordained minister. She offers one on one emotional healing and group classes here and as a guest speaker. Licensed as an esthetician for almost 40 years she is grateful to offer the addition of gentle body work. Healthy living is an all-inclusive adventure that she has been pursuing most of her life. Richelle’s passion for emotional, spiritual and physical healing has been her heartbeat from a very young age. Helping people find the keys to true health and freedom is her greatest delight. She has volunteered in various healing prayer rooms over the last 20 years; currently serving at Eden Newcastle. She is an entrepreneur full of dreams with the faith to see them into fruition. In her 20’s she spearheaded a non-profit for single parent families connecting them with hope and healing. As a Washington state native, she is enthusiastic to serve our community; committed to stewarding this vision with all her heart here in the Pacific NW, while helping increase the momentum of this world wide healing movement.

Amethyst Pishue
Master Herbalist
Starting from the roots, since early childhood Amethyst has had a deep passion for plants. She has studied herbs and supplements for nearly 20 years. Amethyst and her husband Paul, along with their three beautiful children are a foraging family of 5; finding their greatest joy in nature. After her certification as a master herbalist; Amethyst developed her own line of tinctures and salves; Amethyst’s Apothecary. Amethyst is very much an activist for holistic healing and offers one on one consultations. With an over 15– year journey of seeking healing for her oldest daughter Farah (who has dealt with many mountains of nutritional restrictions/deficiencies), Amethyst has also developed a bittersweet relationship with western medicine out of necessity as well. Amethyst’s education includes years of work in the supplement industry. In 2021 Amethyst launched, Into the Forest, an educational program teaching homeschool kids about native plants in our local forests. Amethyst offers a wealth of wisdom and true compassion for both physical and emotional healing. Her broad perspective and authentic personality are a valuable contribution to our team.
Ashley Peterson, LMT
Ashley is passionate about her work as a massage therapist, fully embraces whole person healing and the synergistic power of collaborating with other team members in order to offer her guests the best possible results. Ashley specializes in deep tissue, relaxation, craniosacral and prenatal massage. She is trained in trigger point therapy, lymphatic massage and scar related work. Ashley is committed to helping clients understand and recover from their injuries, including chronic pain and car accidents. Her goal is to improve the quality of life for her clients by customizing a treatment plan that fits their specific need.
True to her Pacific NW roots she loves the outdoors, hiking, camping and traveling. Her darling daughter, Alara, has been the inspiration to pursue a lifestyle of health and wellness which ultimately led to her career as a massage therapist.
Elizabeth Rulffes, RN
Health Recovery Coach
With 29 plus years of nursing experience and years of avid research and development in natural protocols, Elizabeth is a valued member of our team. Caring for people is in the fabric of her DNA. Her passion for life is contagious.
Born in the PNW, living as a missionary kid in Spain and Morocco until her family ultimately settled in Washington state when she was 16. Elizabeth has continued to be on mission helping bring hope, health and healing here as well as around the world including: the Dominican Republic, Benin West Africa, Bangladesh and Tanzania. In 2020 her career took a turn and she set out on a new pathway, that has been exhilarating. As a result of this turn, she is helping others find the path for abundant health. In 2024 Elizabeth founded Abundant Life Ministries. She is a published author and songwriter. Her commitment to God and family is her solid foundation. When she is not serving as a health coach and consultant, she is actively involved in her church and coming along side her husband, Rod, in his handyman business. She is a builder; building up hearts, faith and health in all that she does.
